Temuan is an Orang Asli tribe in Malaysia. They can be found in Selangor, Pahang, Johor and Negeri Sembilan.The Temuan people believed that they originated from the first man and first woman called Mamak Bungsuk, the man, and Inak Bungsuk, the woman. They believed that the first man and the first woman were placed in the rainforest by Muyang, their god.Temuan are mostly animist. Within their village are a dukun (healer) and bomoh (shaman). The bomoh leads the tribe in performing the annual sawai, a ritual to heal the earth, honour their ancestors and appease the guardian spirits.
